Residential Department: Behavior Technician (BT) / Direct Support Professional Full-Time & Part-Time (evenings and weekends) Primary Purpose: The BT is responsible for the care and development of the children living in our community homes on a 24 hour a day basis. Responsibilities include a variety of duties which include but are not limited to: Providing transportation for children to a variety of activities, monitors the health of each child, provides assistance and training within the areas of self-help, communication, social skills, behavior management, recreationa nd leisure. Advocates and protects clients' rights. Qualifications:Must be able to successfully complete CPR, First Aid Training, CriminalRecord Clearance, Health Screening (TB Test) and drug test.Must be able to read, write and understand English. High School graduate or GED equivalent. One year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Compensation: Starting base salary :$9.25-$9.50 per hour D.O.E. In-Home Respite Department Respite Worker / Part-Time (flexible hours) Primary Purpose: The Respite Worker provides one-to-one care and supervision of a child so a family can feel secure in taking a break and knowing that their child is being cared for with the utmost respect and dignity. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the care and supervision of a child while in a family's home. Provide assitance with an individaul's self-help needs, self-control and daily routines usually performed by family members. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. One to four years of related course work preferred. One year experience providing direct services to children and or persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Posses a valid CA driver’s license, own a safe and insured vehicle.Must be able to successfully complete and maintain certification of CPR, First Aid, Pro-Act.Must obtain a fingerprint clearance, criminal record clearance to include Department of Justice (DOJ), FBI and Child Abuse Index. Compensation: Starting base salary: $9.00 per hour and mileage reimbursement
